Fascia Blading
Fascia plays a key role in a horse’s proprioception
Service Description
Fascia plays a key role in a horse’s proprioception. Because fascia is richly supplied with nerve endings, it sends constant messages to the brain about tension, movement, and position. This allows the horse to sense where its body and limbs are in space, adjust posture, coordinate movement, and respond accurately to the rider’s cues. Essentially, fascia acts like a communication network that helps the horse stay balanced, coordinated, and aware of its body during every step. Fascia tools are used in horses to improve soft tissue function and movement. First, they help increase range of motion by loosening tight fascia and allowing muscles and joints to move more freely. Second, they release fascial adhesions, breaking up areas where the connective tissue has become restricted or stuck, which restores smooth tissue glide. Third, fascia tools can reduce painful trigger points by stimulating the tissue and nervous system, helping to relax muscles and alleviate discomfort. By targeting fascia and underlying soft tissues, these tools support better mobility, performance, and overall musculoskeletal health in the horse.
